I’m thrilled to welcome you to my brand-new blog, where creativity meets craftsmanship, and I share some of the behind-the-scenes magic. I’m so excited to go on this journey with you. Are you ready to dive headfirst into the wonderful world of fused glass and chainmail? Please say yes, because this is definitely something outside of my comfort zone.
So before I get started, let me address the elephant in the room. Blogging isn’t something I’m used to doing. It’s a bit nerve-wracking, to be honest. But I’m making a commitment to you - at least one blog a month. Any more than that, and I might be too panicked to write anything!
So what you can expect from this blog? I’ll guide you through the wild and wonderful world of being a fused glass and chainmail artist. I look forward to sharing the two different art forms and the endless possibilities they can offer.
Expect a wide array of topics that I hope you will enjoy. I will share secrets behind the artistry, revealing the techniques, tools, and materials that make my jewelry oh-so-special. I will write about the techniques of fused glass, where layers of colorful glass come together under heat to form something surprising. I’ll share the chainmail techniques I use to weave rings together in intricate patterns.
But it won’t be just about technique. I’ll give you a glimpse into my studio. It will also be about the creative process. I will share what inspires me so you will know the stories that breathe life into each piece I create.
It will also be about embracing the playfulness of the wearable art I create, hopefully giving you inspiration on what you can do with the pieces you buy.
And guess what? I might even share some of the not-so-glamorous aspects of running successful social media pages and websites.
While I have my first blog topic all planned out, I want to hear from YOU! This blog is here for YOUR enjoyment, so let me know what topics you want me to cover. Your input is important and I look forward to hearing your ideas.
So, get ready to join me on this adventure. I can’t wait to share it with you.
